To say that overheads (personnel, fuel and maintenance costs) for transport companies have risen dramatically this year is an understatement. Therefore, a statutory index adjustment will be applied to our transport operators’ invoices from October 2022, as provided for in the contractual terms of the award. Specifically, this means that expenditure on the Shuttle Bus project has risen sharply.

As a result, The Shuttle Bus will have to increase its fares by 10% from 1 December 2022. Together with you, we hope that the inflation that affects us all both professionally and privately will come to an end in the near future. We continue to reiterate that the Shuttle Bus project is non-profit: we do not pursue profit, but we are required by the subsidising government not to bear a loss.
